Lora Cotton, DO, President


Emily Grewe-Nelson, DO, Vice President

Dr. Emily Grewe-Nelson is a dual board certified family physician at Utica Park Clinic in Tulsa, OK. She received her medical degree from Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, and completed her residency in family and community medicine at the University of Missouri Kansas City in Kansas City, MO where she served as chief resident. She has served on the TOMS board since 2018. She has also served on the state and national levels on the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association legislative committee and bureau on strategic planning and at the American Osteopathic Association house of delegates. She has a special interest in health equity and policy and is currently a fellow of the AACOM Osteopathic Health Policy Fellowship. 


Linda Sullivan, DO, Secretary-Treasurer

Dr. Linda Sullivan is a board-certified family physician, Booker T. Washington Hornet, OU Sooner, and proud member of the medical staff at Warren Clinic in Tulsa.  A graduate of UNT-HSC College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Worth, and a former professional cellist and music teacher, Dr. Sullivan brings varied life experience and a passion for connecting with her patients on a human level to the clinical setting.  Her experience spans rural and urban settings, large group and solo practice, hospital, nursing home and nursery.  She has served in leadership roles in residency and professional settings, including Chief Resident at Waco Family Medicine Residency and Chief of Staff at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center.  She enjoys the variety and challenge of her busy outpatient practice, spending time with her husband and daughters, making complicated desserts, reading, and treasure-hunting at local antique and thrift stores.

Heather Rector, DO, 2-Year Trustee, 2025 - 2027

Dr. Heather Rector is a pediatrician and clinical professor of pediatrics at OSU Center for Health Sciences. She also serves as the chair of the pediatrics department at Oklahoma State University Medical Center. She received her medical degree from OSU-CHS and completed her pediatric residency at OSUMC.

Dr. Rector has spent the last 18 years providing quality care to children in Tulsa and the surrounding communities, as well as teaching medical students and residents. She finds it deeply rewarding to care for children from birth through high school graduation while building lifelong relationships with patients and their families.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her 2 daughters and her 3 dogs.


David Gearhart DO, 2-Year Trustee, 2024 - 2026

Dr. David Gearhart, D.O., FACOEP, is an emergency medicine physician and educator dedicated to caring for his community and training the next generation of doctors. He is a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences and serves as a Medical Director for the OSUMC Emergency Department as well as several EMS agencies. With a long history in the field, he focuses on providing quality emergency care and supporting the Tulsa medical community. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids and staying involved in the community.

Sherrita Polk, DO, 1-Year Trustee, 2025 - 2026

As a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Family Medicine Department at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, I am committed to advancing medical education and patient care. With extensive experience as a physician in various settings, including traditional outpatient care and urgent care, I have honed my skills in delivering comprehensive family medicine.

My research interests include improving healthcare practices, evidenced by my work on projects. I have also been actively involved in mentoring medical students and residents, fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Recognized as Faculty of the Year in 2024, I take pride in engaging with students through lectures and facilitating didactic sessions on critical topics, including obesity management and minorities in healthcare. My commitment to cultural competence in medicine is reflected in my participation as a panelist in various educational forums.

With a passion for community health and medical education, I strive to make a positive impact in both clinical practice and academic settings.

Allison L. Niu, JD, Executive Director

TOMS’ Executive Director since 2023, Ms. Niu provides operational management, event planning, and financial governance support for the organization. She previously served as CEO of the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association and Executive Director of the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Ms. Niu is an attorney licensed in Oklahoma and New Mexico, having also worked as Assistant General Counsel for the Oklahoma State Department of Health. She attended Texas Tech University School of Law, graduating in 2017. Ms. Niu is based out of Oklahoma City, where she lives with her husband, dog, and cat.
